UFC heavyweight contender Ciryl Gane shared his candid views on Jon Jones moving up to heavyweight. Additionally, ‘Bon Gamin’ also labeled Jones as the ‘GOAT’ and expressed an interest to fight him. Gane, on a tear in the UFC going 6-0, is already looking towards complete domination at heavyweight.
Jones has moved up to the heavyweight division, but he is yet to make his debut in the weight class. There are several heavyweight fighters who are excited to welcome him into the division and Gane is no different. However, Gane’s callout was very respectful as he clearly recognizes Jon Jones for being an all-time great that he is.
“Yes of course, of course. A lot of people talk about this fight because I am a technical fighter and he is, too, a technical fighter, so the people like to say, ‘Yeah, this is a good matchup.’ So yes, I’m really excited about that because Jon Jones is the GOAT and everybody knows that. So wow,” Gane said in a chat with TMZ.

“I think it’s a good move for him (going to heavyweight), of course. He can make a lot of money with it. He did a lot at light heavyweight, so I understand his move to the heavyweight division, he wants to prove something. But yes, of course, there are a lot of people in this division waiting for the title shot, so every time people say ‘Jon Jones, Jon Jones,’ but we are here, too.” [h/t BJ Penn.com]

Unlike many other heavyweights, Gane relies on his technical skill and not just on raw power. However, Gane is just as powerful as some of the heavy hitters in the division and he’s ready for all comers.
