Kendrick Lamar and Drake have been on each other’s throats for quite some time due to their ongoing rap battle. The feud between the rappers has been the talk of the town in the music industry. However, the oil has been spilled enough that even the faces in the MMA world are on the scene now. Joe Rogan was one of the first people to comment on their beef but now it seems like even the MMA fighters are intrigued by the commotion.
The beef is nothing new as it started back in 2013 when Kendrick Lamar fired shots at Drake and many other rap artists on his track ‘Control’. Since then the duo has been on each other. However, things started getting dirty this year as both artists released tracks attacking each other personally. Nonetheless, let us have a look at what the UFC faces had to say on this.

Fighters are not the only people who engage in a full-course banter to destroy their opponents. Rap artists have their own way of fighting and diss tracks are the main weapons in their arsenal. The ongoing battle between Drake and Kendrick Lamar has shattered multiple records in the music industry with Kendrick Lamar seemingly winning the race against the Canadian, Drake. With the UFC’s connection to Canada and Drake being a big fan of the sport, it was just natural that the UFC faces come forward to comment on the battle.
Joe Rogan, in his recent JRE episode with Deric Poston, had a conversation about the battle, and he was puzzled by it.“So what, does someone have to tap out here? Is this to the death?” said Rogan. He further mentioned that they should settle their beef without using any violence against each other. “That would be the way to wrap it up, that’s what you do, break bread, hug it out, go ‘well you got me with that one’; ‘you got me with that one, let’s put it out as an album,’” Rogan added.
Well, Rogan seems to be a bit confused about how a diss track works, but he was not the only one who commented on the battle. UFC heavyweight fighter, Derrick Lewis has also stated his thoughts on it. While having a conversation with the media ahead of UFC St. Louis, Lewis was asked about his thoughts on the ongoing rap battle. Surprisingly, Lewis was aware of it and asserted that he would choose Kendrick Lamar over Drake always.“I’m going with Kendrick. Why? Kendrick from the US? That’s why, yeah yeah yeah, that’s right,” said Lewis.
After that statement, a funny incident occurred when the reporter, who was Canadian, asked if he had any issues with Canadian soil. Lewis responded by saying that he loved Canada but would choose Lamar every time. Well, Derrick Lewis has chosen his fighter in the battle, but who is Joe Rogan choosing? let’s find out.

Rogan does not have a dog in this race
The two Grammy-winning artists have been at each other’s throats for the last ten years due to their ongoing feud. It was silent for some time, however, the beef reignited again when Kendrick Lamar released the track ‘Like That’ where he distanced himself from being part of the Big Three including Drake and J Cole.

Drake then dropped a feature “Push Ups,” where he directly attacked Lamar and other artists in the industry. This was the start of a forest fire in the music industry as Lamar went relentless against the Canadian singer. He dropped features such as “Euphoria”, “6:16 in LA,” and “Not Like Us” against Drake. As of now, Lamar is shattering records and winning the race, but the battle is far from over. As all this is unfolding, Joe Rogan is just happy to not be a part of it.
In his conversation with Deric Poston, Rogan explained that he is glad that he is ignorant in these matters. “This whole rap world, the rap beef I’m glad I’m ignorant to it. I’m on the outside,” Rogan confessed. “People keep bringing it up. No, you’re dragging me into this nonsense,” the podcaster said.
