Recently one of the best UFC fighters, Khamzat Chimaev, congratulated and at the same time warned the welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman, after his win at UFC 286.
‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ fought one of the toughest opponents in Colby Covington at his fifth UFC title defense last weekend. However, the former came out victorious after a hard-fought, five-round, gruesome battle.
Many UFC fans and pundits claimed Usman to be the welterweight ‘GOAT’ and also congratulated him for his victory. One of them was Khamzat Chimaev.

‘Borz’ took to his official Twitter account and wrote, “Congratulations, good job bro @USMAN84kg. I’m coming for you brother, I’m coming. @ColbyCovMMA @NateDiaz209.”

Not only Usman but the Russian-born also tagged Colby Covington and Nate Diaz to remind them of his arrival in the top-10 of the welterweight division of UFC.

‘Borz’ made his UFC debut in 2020 and has been unstoppable since then. He is currently 4-0 in the promotion and has finished all of his four opponents, three of which he finished in the first round of the bout.
The 27-year-old stunned the UFC fans by delivering a dominant performance in his comeback against Li Jingliang at UFC 267. Ever since then, the fight fans have been eagerly waiting for his next fight in the promotion.
What Lies Next for Khamzat Chimaev in the Welterweight Division
Following his stunning victory at UFC 267, Khamzat Chimaev has made his mark in the top-10 of the welterweight division. However, he is still waiting for a viable prospect for his next fight.
Many fans hinted at a potential title fight with the champion Kamaru Usman. However, the UFC president Dana White claimed that ‘Borz’ needs some more wins under his name to earn a shot at the title.
Previously, the UFC supremo seemed to be interested in setting up a clash between ‘Borz’ and Stockton’s very own Nate Diaz, who has one fight left on his contract. However, Diaz expressed his disinterest in fighting the Russian-born.
‘Borz’ hinted at a return to action in December with a recent tweet. He also has a few names that he might clash with inside the octagon. However, nothing has been official yet. And the fans will have to wait to see the dominant fighter in action again.
