Israel Adesanya and Sean Strickland
Whether the fans will witness carnage inside the Octagon or not at UFC 293 is a secondary concern now. The verbal warfare between Israel Adesanya and Sean Strickland is what the fans are more interested in. Every day, new bizarre comments keep dropping, and the verbal onslaught continues. Both are trying to get on each other’s nerves, and it appears ‘Stylebender’ is ready to ambush and expose his “insecure” opponent.
‘Tarzan’ has questioned the flamboyant champion’s lifestyle, be it his liking for anime or his nails. Meanwhile, the Nigerian-Kiwi fighter boasts of flatlining his opponent with ease and doing a “TikTok dance over his grave”. It appears he is ready with his new onslaught at Strickland as he points out the discrepancy in the latter’s action in front of cameras and backstage.

The 34-year-old champion, at the UFC 293 presser, discussed his upcoming documentary ‘Stylebender’. The documentary sheds light on his struggles as a fighter and his battles with mental health. Further, the middleweight champion didn’t shy away from accepting the vulnerable times when he felt insecure. But he worked on himself and, hence, can spot when another person is going through something similar.
Therefore, the Auckland native revealed he was aware of where Strickland’s insecurity stemmed from. He said, “When I say Sean’s insecure, I can see it. Because I see what he’s like in front of the cameras, and I see what it’s like backstage.”
“And when it’s just me and him and I’m just like, okay, I know where this is from, and I know how to deal with this. So I’ll take him through a session. A nice therapy session for free,” Adesanya announced.
However, the middleweight champion is himself embroiled in a controversy that put him in the limelight a couple of months ago. With his much-awaited fight inching nearer before the home crowd, the controversy is resurfacing again.

A few months ago, the clip of the 24-2 record holder inappropriately touching his dog made the rounds on the internet. When Strickland made an appearance in the JRE podcast, he even asked Joe Rogan, “There is a video of him [Israel Adesanya] j*rking his dog off. Did you see that?”

Left flabbergasted by what he heard from the American fighter, Rogan responded, “I don’t sit around watching people j*rk their dog off ever.” The controversy involving his previous dog, Milli, divided the internet back then. Surely he wouldn’t want another storm before his fight at UFC 293. But Strickland is as unpredictable as they come.
