Over the years, Robbie Lawler has impressed fight fans with his aggressive fighting style. After 22 years of active fighting, Lawler is finally getting ready to leave the gloves in the octagon at UFC 290. Like every UFC fighter, even ‘Ruthless’ wants his last fight to be in his favor. But how far will he go for that? In the pre-fight press conference, Lawler admitted that he was ready to go for some violent moves in his upcoming bout against Niko Price.
The bout is around the corner, as it is set to take place on July 8, 2023, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The event would be nothing but a feast for fight fans, as Alexander Volkanovski and Yair Rodriguez would headline the event. Longtime rivals Brandon Moreno and Alexandre Pantoja would lock horns in the co-main event. Lawler and Price will be fighting under the preliminary card. From the words of Lawler, it seems that the fight between him and Price would take the fans to the edge of their seats. However, contrary to Robert Whittaker‘s take, Lawler makes it clear that he has no plans to bite his opponent!

In the pre-fight press conference, the reporter asked an interesting question to the former UFC welterweight champion. The reporter questioned, “Robert Whittaker was in here earlier and I was asking him like maybe some of his favorite memories of you and he said that when he was at welterweight, he saw you fight and his first thought was fighting that guy. He also said that when he watches you fight, he thinks that if you could, you would bite your opponent. So I’m curious. What do you think of that assessment?”
After coming across the question, the 41-year-old could not resist but laugh. As a reply to the reporter’s query, ‘Ruthless’ said, “Nah, I appreciate that. I don’t think I will bite. I probably, I probably headbutt, I probably eye gouge. Really, like bite, I don’t, nah.“According to the MMA rules, intentional headbutts and eye gouges are illegal. However, he joked that he would go for them instead of biting his opponent.
