Every MMA fighter dreams of featuring in the main event and eventually winning the championship belt. While it’s true that many fighters are not able to realize their potential, some also get any chance. Rising MMA star Bo Nickal claims that he belongs to the latter category.

Bo Nickal recently signed his UFC contract and will mark his Octagon debut on the upcoming UFC PPV event- UFC 282. But the catch is that he might feature on the prelims card. Prelims card fights don’t form part of PPV and air on ESPN Prelims+. And consequently remains out of the attention of a few MMA fans.

In a recent video, the American wrestler made a bold claim and threatened to quit his MMA career, which is yet to be started.

What did Bo Nickal say?

Bo Nickal was a guest on ‘The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani’. Nickal shared his views on the issues he shares with Khamzat Chimaev, featuring on the EA UFC 4 video game, generating interest from the WWE, and the possible result of a wrestling match with Logan Paul.

When Ariel put him a question on his possible UFC debut and asked whether he would fight at PPV or ESPN Prelims+, Bo Nickal was incensed. He said, “I’m not a prelim guy. If I have to fight on the prelims, I’ll just retire. I’m done.”

By all means, this might be an indirect message to attract UFC president Dana White‘s attention. This way, ‘The Allen Assassin’ has put forth his demand to fight on the PPV main card.

His case is strengthened by former UFC two-weight division champion Henry Cejudo. ‘Triple C’ took to Twitter to express his opinion on Nickal’s UFC debut and was excited about it.

Interestingly, this is not the first time that the former champ Henry Cejudo has expressed support for the awaited debutant.

With his proven high pedigree wrestling skills, undoubtedly he is one of the biggest prospects UFC has invested in.
