Video games and their characters have attracted people from all nooks and corners of the world. However, the trends on social media have moved towards a different storyline, where the most attention is grabbed by the NPCs, or the non-playable characters. The trend involved people acting as NPCs who never broke their character. In episode #2018 of the JRE, even Joe Rogan was baffled by the trend.
Rogan and his guest for the episode, Post Malone, discussed the trend. Although the duo believed the trend to be nothing but crazy, they were indeed attracted by the people performing it. Furthermore, the money they made by acting as NPCs was also significantly high, and Rogan couldn’t stop himself from being amazed.

The digital world never stops putting out new trends that grab the netizens’ attention. One such trend was the Pinkydoll NPC trend. Post Malone brought up the topic during a recent conversation with Rogan on his podcast. While the musician claimed it was “crazy”, the 55-year-old podcaster had a confession to make.
Rogan said, “That’s so strange. But she is really hot and that helps. That’s why that works. Let’s not pretend. Like if she was gross, like that lady is beautiful. So, when she does that, people are like. What is she? I’ll get her to lick her lips like, $7000 a day. That’s not bad.”
During the talk, Malone asked Jamie Vernon to pull up a video of the trend. Therein, the user named Pinkydoll was acting as if she were an NPC from a video game. Whenever a viewer donated something, she would say lines like, “gang gang”, or “that was good lemonade”. The two men also discussed how one of the NPC actors broke character when their child came into the screen. But Rogan was truly baffled by the trend.

The UFC commentator is no stranger to acting in video games. He was the voice artist who provided commentary in the UFC video game. In a previous JRE episode, Rogan revealed an incident that got him tired of being a voice artist for the game.
He recalled that doing the voiceover for the game, in fact, took forever. Recording every single variation for every single move that the fighters’ characters can perform in the game took days and days to cover. With the realistic moves and Rogan’s commentary, the game was a hit amongst the fans. Unfortunately, the commentator decided to leave the set of EA UFC 4.
