Alexander Volkanovski has a new opponent and fans just found out how exciting he could be. Illia Topuria managed to release a very cinematic teaser of his fight with Volkanovski earlier this month. However, that wasn’t the only video that took fans by surprise.

A video of Topuria being confronted by a fan recently surfaced. The fan clearly spoke with the fighter and asked for a body shot. With all consent in place, Topuria fulfills the fan’s request and his reaction is as priceless as they get. But will ‘The Great’ feel the same way in the cage? Here’s all you need to know.

Topuria is as fun and easygoing as it gets, or so it seems in the video. He takes the idea of punching his fan with grace and once the fan folds on the ground, he goes down to give him a little hug. Nevertheless, the punch to the stomach did put the fan down for good. Will it do so for Volk? Here are some reactions.

“I hope pissing blood was worth your video fam”

“Dude made him be little spoon too”

While some spoke of the insane power of the punch, others reminded Topuria of his opponent.

“Crazy thing is, Volk is bout to eat that like it’s breakfast”

Others implied Topuria barely did anything.

“He only used 10% of his power”

“And that was his weak hand”

One person admired the body shot.

“That was a good liver shot, damn”

Finally, this fan couldn’t find any good reason for doing it.

“Why would you let any human do that to you tho”

Do you agree with the fandom on this one? Clearly, some fans can’t seem to shrug off the idea of Volkanovski defeating Topuria. However, it may just be a match where both the fighters go toe-to-toe. However, ‘The Great’ is certainly a wounded beast at the moment. Why?

Volkanovski is all in

To take on a fight on an 11-day notice is brave. And to take up a fight against reigning lightweight champion Islam Makhachev is even more gutsy. But Alexander Volkanovski isn’t the type to back off from a challenge. Alas, he stepped up and then fell back as a brutal kick toppled him into a knockout. After the loss, the warrior was distraught.

“It really is hard for athletes and I never thought I’d struggle with it, but for some reason when I wasn’t fighting or in camp…f**k, sorry, I was just doing my head in,” he said after the fight in a conference. “When this opportunity came up, I’ll be honest, I wasn’t training as much as I should have, but I thought I had to do it. I had to take it.” Clearly, the fight affected him in a brutal way. Now he has a title on the line. Will he fight back harder to protect both crown and pride?
