Rafael Fiziev picked up a hard-fought unanimous decision victory against veteran Bobby Green at UFC 265. Soon after, in his post-fight interview, the 28-year-old hilariously called out one of MMA’s biggest viral sensations, Hasbulla.
An 18-year-old blogger from Dagestan, also known as the ‘mini Khabib’, Hasbulla has been putting out MMA-related content since 2020. However, the Dagestan native went viral on Tik-Tok this year and has been a hot topic ever since.
As for the fight, both fighters showed tremendous heart and courage in the octagon, deservedly receiving the Fight of the Night award. Engaged in a standup battle throughout, ‘King’ Green out-landed Rafael by 39 significant strikes. However, Fiziev was clearly landing the harder shots, even stunning Green a few times.

Going into the second round, Rafael Fiziev looked to make a statement by getting the veteran out of there. Putting on an incredible pace, Fiziev unloaded a barrage of punches and leg kicks on Green. However, the 34-year-old maintained his composure and survived the round.
Having spent a lot of energy chasing the finish, a spent Fiziev quickly found himself at the receiving end of his opponent’s vicious strikes in the third round. One could argue both fighter’s cases for the win, but it seems like Fiziev could land the more damaging strikes in the first two rounds.
In the end, the judges scored the fight in favor of Rafael Fiziev. This is Fiziev’s fourth straight victory ever since his arrival in the UFC, back in 2019.

With this latest win over Bobby Green, Fiziev is now on a four-fight win streak, bringing his MMA record to 10-1. Extremely crafty with the way he manages distance, Fiziev is a high-level striker who only started training MMA in 2015. Considering the growth we’ve seen from him over his last few fights, one can only imagine what his true potential is.
We will certainly get to see more of this rising prospect, if not this year, the next. Perhaps his next outing will be against an opponent higher in the rankings.
