Francis Ngannou became the UFC heavyweight champion by defeating Stipe Miocic in March 2021. He will now break his 11 month-long hiatus and return to the UFC octagon to defend his title for the first time against interim champion Ciryl Gane.
In many of his interviews, Ngannou has stated that Miocic was the toughest opponent he faced in the UFC. However, during the UFC 270 press conference, a journalist asked a twisted question to Ciryl Gane.
He asked ‘Bon Gamin’ to respond to Ngannou’s statement of Miocic being the toughest and him being the easy opponent. This didn’t sit well with the Cameroonian born. ‘The Predator’ quickly responded to the reporter’s question and shut him up in style for misquoting his statement.

After a few exchanges with the journalist, Ngannou said, “But did I say Ciryl is the easy fight? Did I ever say that some fight is an easy fight? Did I say that because that’s what you just said? I am just quoting you. Toughest meaning tough than others.”
“Meaning others are tough, but someone is the toughest. There’s not an easy fight, my friend. If you ever fight in your life, you will know that there’s not an easy fight. So please be very accurate when you ask questions. Unless you have something in mind that you wanna say.”

‘Bon Gamin’ is an undefeated UFC fighter. He has a professional record of 10-0 under his name. In his previous fight, Gane defeated one of the best knockout artists on the roster. He has the potential to give the champion a hard time inside the UFC cage.
However, ‘The Predator’ has shown massive improvement in his performance after his loss at UFC 226.
Francis Ngannou Is Currently on Five Consecutive Knockout Win Streak
Ever since his second UFC loss in 2018, the Cameroonian fighter has remained undefeated in the promotion. In his second fight in 2018, Ngannou needed only 45 seconds of the first round to defeat Curtis Blaydes with a vicious punch.
After that, ‘The Predator’ faced the former champion, Cain Velasquez, in 2019. Interestingly, Ngannou stopped the former champion within 30 seconds of the first round.
