Jon Jones, his knee kicks & his spinning elbows
Jackson was vocal about how many of ‘Bones’ attacks were career-threatening and should be banned. “If you are doing anything good on him, he’s gonna poke you in the eye”, said the former light heavyweight champ. In his fight against ‘Bones’, Jackson did indeed complain about an eye poke. The 44-year-old was quick to point out that Jones’ knee kicks are very dangerous for his opponents.
“I think that (knee kick) should be banned, my knee is still messed up from that (Jon Jones’ knee kick)”. According to Jackson, the 35-year-old’s knee kick caused too-much hyperextension in his knee, and he still faces issues with it.
He also talked about Jones’ spinning elbows that landed on the back of the heads of his opponents.
Is all well between Jackson & Jones?
These remarks from Jackson might make one think that all is not well with him and the 35-year-old. This was exactly what Chris Van Vliet’s next question was. But Jackson responded in a calm way and stated that he has no problems with ‘Bones’.
