Sean Strickland and Dricus Du Plessis are about to lock horns within a few days, and the middleweight championship is on the line. The build-up to the fight has been intense, with both fighters claiming they would kill each other in the octagon. However, a new video has surfaced on the internet, leaving fans rather confused. Did they both just hug each other?

Is everything good between them now? These are the questions that many enthusiasts have after witnessing a video of the two hugging each other after months of buildup. So what exactly transpired between them that led to a hug?

Bad blood between Sean Strickland and Dricus Du Plessis put to bed?

Sean Strickland and Dricus Du Plessis will face each other this Saturday. There was an intense beef between the fighters initially started by Du Plessis. ‘Stillknocks’ made comments about Strickland’s father which triggered the fighter. The middleweight champion even messaged Du Plessis that he would stab him to death if he ever mentioned his father again.

Now, both fighters are in Canada for the fight. And it seems like the Canadian soil has helped them drop their beef. A video has surfaced where Du Plessis and Strickland seem to be having a healthy conversation as well as sharing a warm hug. In the video, Du Plessis and his girlfriend meet Strickland.

The conversation started with Du Plessis greeting Strickland with a “How are you man? Good trip?’”, Strickland then asked ‘Stillknocks’ if the lady with him was his girlfriend, and then the three proceeded to have a conversation which ended with a “thank you” and “enjoy the weekend”

In the lead-up to their arrival on Canadian soil, the two individuals have engaged in a media feud, occasionally becoming quite contentious in their exchanges. The fight was supposed to be filled with bloody rage but their small but lively chit-chat sent mixed signals to fans.

Fans are confused by the interaction between the fighters

As soon as the video went viral, fans flooded the Internet to express their opinion. Starting off, it’s none other than Dillion Danis who claimed that Strickland is playing the victim card in their beef, ‘Sean playing victim.’

One of the fans highlights the spontaneous aspect of “Tarzan”. The fan claimed that Strickland is quick to be angry and then forgive. “Seans the definition of quick to anger quick to forgive”

Furthermore, a fan added that their beef was just a promotion gimmick by the UFC, stating, “Plot twist. It was all promotion and they just boys behind closed doors”

Strickland warned Du Plessis that he would stab him if he mentions his father again and a fan took reference from that, humorously stating, “Ddp saw sean buy the knife” 

Another fan emphasized the stabbing thing and claimed that he would have done the same thing as Du Plessis. “I would did same thing if I knew a f**ker was gonna stab me lmfao”

A fan appreciated the good nature of both the fighters. “The fact that Sean stood up and took his hat off to greet them says a lot about him. Good stuff from both men “
