“If He Loses He Should Just Hang It Up”- Anthony Smith Facing “Monster” Khalil Rountree at UFC Vegas 83 Has Fans Warning the UFC Veteran

Anthony Smith has been a big figure in the realm of UFC.͏ The veteran fighter has proven to be a dominant force in the UFC. Yet, his recent performances have been lackluster. ‘Lionhear͏t’ is now slat͏ed to face an opponen͏t who is termed as the monster of UFC.

Khalil Rountree Jr. has emerged as a formidable presence in the UFC, riding the momentum of a four-fight winning streak. Impressively, three of his last four victories have come by way of knockouts. The combat community has issued a cautionary note to ‘Lionheart.

Fans warn Anthony Smith on facing against Khalil Rountree Jr

Anthony Smith has replaced Azamat Murzakanov from the UFC Fight Night 83. With this, the veteran fighter will be faced against  Khalil Rountree Jr. However there’s a crux in it, Smith has taken up the fight considering his last victory against Ryan Spann but Rountree Jr is not someone who should be taken lightly as the records of his recent fights are deadly.

Upon the disclosure, fans called out the veteran fighter and stated that he should cautioned as Rountree Jr. is not someone who should be taken lightly. Some of the comments by the fans are as  follows:-

The fans are worried about Smith’s sudden decision to take the fight. Most of the fans believe that Smith will be defeated in the fight. However, the event is still to take place and the victor of the fight will be decided after the bout. Interestingly, recently smith has made a point about Leon Edwards.

Smith’s opinion on the Leon Edwards

Anthony Smith has shared his thoughts on the possibility of Leon Edwards stepping up to the middleweight division. According to the former UFC light heavyweight title contender, Edwards might not be as keen on the move if Khamzat Chimaev were the champion instead of Sean Strickland.

While having a conversation with Michael Bisping, Smith asserted “Of course, he’s going to want to move up right now. If Khamzat [Chimaev] was the champion, I don’t know if we’d see Leon running to middleweight so quickly, but I think we have a champion in Sean Strickland that he believes matches up well with him, and it stylistically makes a lot of sense.”
