With this, the veteran fighter will be faced against Khalil Rountree Jr. However there’s a crux in it, Smith has taken up the fight considering his last victory against Ryan Spann but Rountree Jr is not someone who should be taken lightly as the records of his recent fights are deadly.

Anthony Smith has shared his thoughts on the possibility of Leon Edwards stepping up to the middleweight division. According to the former UFC light heavyweight title contender, Edwards might not be as keen on the move if Khamzat Chimaev were the champion instead of Sean Strickland.
While having a conversation with Michael Bisping, Smith asserted “Of course, he’s going to want to move up right now. If Khamzat [Chimaev] was the champion, I don’t know if we’d see Leon running to middleweight so quickly, but I think we have a champion in Sean Strickland that he believes matches up well with him, and it stylistically makes a lot of sense.”
