After a lengthy hiatus from the octagon, Conor McGregor is to make his comeback later this year. The Irishman had hoped to be exempted from the USADA’s mandatory six-month testing period, but his attempts seem to have hit a roadblock, leaving him with little to no hope. McGregor has launched a full-blown war against the anti-doping agency, which has caused a stir in the MMA world.
The 34-year-old superstar recently wrapped up filming for the 31st season of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’. And now, the talk is all about his comeback fight with his rival TUF coach and UFC lightweight star Michael Chandler, who is touted to be the Irishman’s comeback opponent. This was the topic of discussion in Sean O’Malley‘s podcast and the conversation centered around whether the former UFC double-weight champion can bend the USADA’s laws owing to his position in the UFC to make his much-anticipated comeback as planned.

During the recent episode of Sean O’Malley‘s recent podcast, the ranked 2 bantamweight fighter sat down with his coach Tim Welch and Janil Turner. The trio talked about the current happenings of the MMA world and stumbled upon the Conor McGregor-USADA feud. While on the subject, O’Malley’s coach Tim Welch put forth a rather interesting stance on the situation, highlighting the Irishman’s position in the UFC and his power, which can perhaps get him the exemption for his comeback.
Welch said, “If he is part owner of the company, I wonder how much say he has, like, ‘I’m not testing for USADA right now’... What you gonna do?”
It remains unclear whether McGregor will receive an exemption from USADA. But regardless, ‘The Notorious’ has already begun preparing for his comeback.
Despite doubts about whether he will return to his pre-injury form, ‘Suga’ Sean O’Malley isn’t one of them. During a discussion of the match between McGregor and Chandler, he noted that even during his last upsets, the Irishman was still lethal.

Opinions on the highly anticipated fight between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler are varied, with some leaning towards McGregor and others towards Chandler. Sean O’Malley weighed in on the debate, citing McGregor’s dangerous form despite his recent losses against Dustin Poirier. “Even the losses Conor’s had, against the last two [Dustin]Poirier fights, he looked f**king dangerous,” he said. “On the feet, in the first couple exchanges, he’s sharp.”
