As a result of Belal Muhammad withdrawing from his scheduled bout at UFC 310 due to injury, Dana White was prompted to set up an exciting clash between two undefeated stars, Ian Garry and Shavkat Rakhmonov, who was the slated to get his first title shot. However, the champion isn’t sitting idle, trying to heal from his injury. Instead, Muhammad’s been actively scouting these two undefeated stars, leading him to make a pretty bold claim.
‘Bully B’ claims that, after watching hours of videos of Shavkat Rakhmonov and Ian Garry, he concluded that none of them stand a chance against him if they ever meet inside the Octagon. He claims to envision himself doing quick work of ‘Nomad’ and ‘The Future’, even though no opponent has had any answers for the undefeated duo.
“These last six weeks I’ve been watching a lot of tapes and studying both these guys and my official unbiased breakdown is that I break both of them,” ‘Remember the Name’ wrote on social media. On one hand, we have a fighter with a 100 percent finish rate, and on the other, we have a pretty good standup scrapper. Could Belal Muhammad be biting more than he can chew here?

Muhammad had made similar comments about his former opponent Leon Edwards, from whom he took the welterweight title a few months ago, and he did prove that he was right. But do you think the welterweight king is overestimating himself when it comes to Shavkat Rakhmonov and Ian Garry?

Despite what has been said, the Palestinian-American recently gave his take on Ian Garry replacing him to fight Shavkat Rakhmonov, and guess what? He believes this fight makes all the sense in the world.
Belal Muhammad comments on the UFC 310 co-main event
By now, there are no more doubts that the UFC 310 co-main event is a title eliminator clash, with the winner probably earning a championship shot. Belal Muhammad seems happy about the UFC setting up a fight between two undefeated stars, given the state of the 170-pound division. The welterweight champion believes even shot down past rumors of the rising Irish star taking on Joaquin Buckley because Rakhmonov vs Garry is the logical way to go.

“I think the matchup makes a lot of sense especially when you’re looking at the division,” Muhammad stated on the ‘Anik & Florian Podcast’. “It made more sense than Buckley and Ian Garry. I think Shavkat and Ian Garry, both undefeated, both guys are right there at the top and they both called each other out before Ian said he wanted that fight before, but it makes a lot of sense and I’m excited to see how it goes.”
Ian Garry has directed verbal jibes toward the Kazakh in the past, with the Irishman claiming that he wants to hand ‘Nomad’ his first MMA defeat. Well, someone’s zero has to go, which seems to be the theme of the UFC 310 co-main event, and it will be interesting to see who comes out on top to give Belal Muhammad a run for his money.
