“I Would Encourage Fans to…”- Julianna Peña Makes a Bold Claim About Amanda Nunes Fight as She Makes a Humble Request for the UFC World After Major Criticism

After facing immense criticism from the fans,  Julianna Pena comes up with a modest request. In one of her recent interviews, Pena was found garnering the attention of the fans, as she urged them to rewatch her earlier clash with Amanda Nunes. She seemed eager while doing so. While confessing so, she clearly presented what her endeavor actually mean and what was this all about.   

Julianna Pena has demonstrated her determination to face Amanda Nunes once more. She hasn’t held back much when it comes to expressing her sorrow over the Nunes match she was supposed to be in, which ultimately got canceled. Both of them had twice encountered one another.  

What Pena had to say about Amanda Nunes?

She spread light on her previous match expressing why the fans should consider watching it again. Since the fans were anticipating their 3rd encounter, Nunes Retirement turned into a hindrance to the same. Through the ‘ ESPN MMA YouTube channel  Pena had this to say. 

“I always want to fight her if she returns. Absolutely there are fights that are on my bucket list of things that I want to get back, things that I want to do and she is definitely one of them. I definitely think that she knows that, I know that, may not the general public know that because of although looking at its possible highlights. I would encourage fans to go back and watch that fight, and without any commentary or anything just watch the fight you will see it was a lot closer then people want to give me credit for.”

She gave an unbiased account of her ideas regarding the anticipated “Trilogy”. Both the fighters have triumphed against one another in the last two encounters.  Pena has always shown how desperate she is to meet Nunes again inside the octagon.

The history between the two bitter rivals

Their rivalry offered an intensity that fans ideally anticipate from a fight. Both the fighters had enough tenacity to win against their opponents. At UFC 269, where Pena forced Nunes to tap and ultimately prevailed, the two fighters first came into contact with one another. Pena had the last laugh in their opening game. At UFC 277, Pena’s championship defense versus Nunes was the subject of the rematch. The judges only needed to witness Nunes’s dominant ground game and tremendous hitting maneuver to render a judgment in her favor.

The ‘Trilogy’ didn’t come to a conclusion since Nunes shockingly retired from the MMA scenes. It indeed left Pena in agony, as she was prepared to have a rematch against Nunes. The interview made it evident how desperately Pena desired a rematch with Nunes. Nunes’s shocking retirement, not only left the fans but also Pena hoping for her comeback. It will be captivating to see how the scenario witnesses a twist.
