UFC flyweight champ Deiveson Figueiredo has ruled over the division ever since winning the title in July 2020. He is set to defend his title again at UFC 263 against Brandon Moreno after their last fight ended in a majority draw.
He talked to Ag Fight in an interview about how the former flyweight champions, Demetrious Johnson and Henry Cejudo, would fare in a fight against him. Bloodyelbow.com provided the translations for the interview, which was originally in Portuguese.

Figueiredo mentioned a potential return for Henry Cejudo. “I think he’ll be fighting again very soon,” he said. He also added that he might not come back at flyweight as it was not his division anymore. However, Cejudo might come back at bantamweight, and Figueiredo said that he hoped that Cejudo would be his first fight at bantamweight.
“I hope he accepts to fight me and that Dana accepts to pay us a nice purse. You can be sure that it would be Fight of the Night,” he said. Additionally, Figueiredo also talked about Demetrious Johnson and his recent loss to Adriano Moraes in ONE fighting championship.
“I was surprised. He’s a very versatile guy. You don’t know if he’s going to strike or take you down. The Brazilian had a great game plan,” Figueiredo explained. Moraes kept moving in front of Johnson and didn’t concede any opportunities for a takedown. He finally finished the fight by knocking the former UFC flyweight champion out.

However, Figueiredo didn’t stop there and predicted how potential fights against Cejudo and Johnson would go. “Henry Cejudo would be knocked out.” Deiveson continued. “Demetrious Johnson would be submitted. I would catch them both.”
It was a statement that showed confidence from Brazilian. He has dominated the flyweight division in the UFC after winning 9 of his 11 fights with the organization. Additionally, he has an incredible record of 20-1-1. If he wins against Moreno, it will be an underline on all of his major achievements. Therefore, he really could be the greatest flyweight of all time.
