“I’m not a Trump supporter, in any way, shape or form.” Joe Rogan had often stood true to these words as he continued to deny Donald Trump a platform on the Joe Rogan Experience. That was until episode #2219 of the JRE, when Rogan and Trump shared the same room and talked for almost 3 hours. And according to many, that was likely the moment that ensured Trump’s victory in the 2024 Presidential Elections. But do you know what the POTUS did when he first met the UFC color commentator after the elections? Let’s hear it directly from Rogan.

On March 22, 2025, Rogan sat down together with Gordon Ryan, Brendan Schaub, and Eddie Bravo on the set for JRE Fight Companion. Therein, Bravo recounted the events of UFC 309 when Trump entered Madison Square Garden. He said, “And then I see Trump come up. I saw the whole f—ing thing. Trump walking straight to you and gave you a big f—ing hug and he’s whispering sweet nothings in your ear. I’m like, ‘Holy! They’re like this right here!’ And I’m like, ‘What the f—!’ And he goes to you, man. Look at that. He didn’t want to talk to Jon Anik. He’s going right to you.”

But the big question still remained and Bravo didn’t back down from asking it. He asked Rogan about what the President of the United States said to him during their brief interaction at UFC 309. And the 57-year-old podcaster’s response sent a massive shockwave. But it wasn’t something that we didn’t really know before. He answered, “He basically said I won him the election.”

During his chat with the current POTUS on JRE, Rogan also revealed why he changed his stance on hosting Trump. For the UFC commentator, it was the attempt on Trump’s life that was the last straw. He said,  “Once they shot you I was like ‘he’s gotta come in here.’” Besides, Rogan has had his own grievances with mainstream media, one of which was about their treatment of Trump. In a November 2024 segment of the JRE, Rogan remarked, “What you’re seeing with Trump, regardless of his flaws, is a massive concentrated psy-op. They’ve distorted who he is to the point where most people think that way. Most people think that way. They’ve had narratives.”

Bravo went on to talk about how Jon Jones won the bout and did the Trump dance.  Of course, the boys pointed out how many other athletes started doing the Trump dance after that. But let’s stay focused on Trump’s interaction with Rogan. Why exactly did he say that the UFC commentator was the reason for his victory? Well, this was something that many have talked about. The UFC head honcho even gave the JRE host a special shoutout. Let’s take a look at what the UFC CEO had to say about Trump’s victory.

Dana White gives special shoutout to Joe Rogan for helping Donald Trump win

To be fair, we all knew that Rogan and Trump would sit down together sometime. And Dana White knew this pretty well. That’s what he claimed when Russell Brand asked if the UFC CEO had any role in putting Trump on the JRE. White replied, “He is authentic enough to go on Joe Rogan’s show for three and a half hours, unscripted, and talk about anything that pops up. I pushed hard for him to do that interview because that’s the setting he needs to be in every time he does an interview. With the mainstream media, it’s all the same bulls**t, and I knew that he and Rogan would sit down.”

What’s your perspective on:

Did Joe Rogan's podcast really tip the scales for Trump's 2024 victory, or was it inevitable?

But when White stepped up to the podium at Mar-a-Lago, Palm Beach, Florida, he gave a shoutout to “the mighty and powerful Joe Rogan.” Of course, he addressed everyone who helped Trump by bringing him on their podcasts. And the list included Theo Von, Will Crompton, and Taylor Lewan. After all, that was one of the reasons why Trump’s popularity and message spread through a larger population.

On top of that, Rogan, on episode #2220 of JRE, claimed that Trump was actually pretty charming. And his relationship with White was what pushed him to support the POTUS. Needless to say, Trump stood up for White back when MMA was a banned sport. He let the UFC CEO use his own casino in Atlantic City. And now, Rogan shares a good friendship with the POTUS.

What are your thoughts on Rogan bringing in Trump to the podcast? Do you think Trump could have won had Rogan not invited him to the JRE? Let us know what you think in the comments down below.
