Joe Rogan is someone who loves to try new and different experiences. He has often been seen sharing his experiences with his guests on his podcast ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’. Rogan is also known for discussing topics from the domain of science to mysticism and the supernatural. In a recent episode of his popular podcast, Joe Rogan shared his experiences with hypnotism. Rogan was talking to stand-up comic and on-air personalities Big Jay Oakerson and Ari Shaffir. While the trio discussed cults and hypnotism, Joe Rogan shared the experience of the time when he himself was hypnotized, by his guests.

Rogan was talking to his guests on episode 1966 of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’. As per Joe Rogan, the experience was a pleasant one. Rogan said it was very similar to being on drugs, yet he felt “present and pleasant”. Even in the past Joe Rogan has shared his experiences with guests and heard from them about their special experiences.

Joe Rogan found hypnotism pleasant

While Rogan and his guests talked about a lot of different topics, very early in the podcast Rogan talked about cults. This sparked the interest of the other two guests who too gave their two cents and pointed out how many people who are part of some cult never realize and accept that they are part of a cult

It was here when they discussed hypnotism. Talking about his personal experiences, Rogan said, What I experienced was like a different state of mind. It seems like wow, this is like a drug like I’m on a drug. I mean, this is very strange, but it was very pleasant and it was very, it was very pretty. I was present and pleasant. It was like I was right there and I was like looking at things from a different angle”. He added, “It’s almost like I have removed some layers of clothing that were like my conditioning in my life. I got to look at things like this as very much like a psychedelic drug.”

Rogan’s podcasts are famous for getting extremely interesting guests to talk about their amazing experiences. It gives Joe Rogan an opportunity to share with his fans nuggets from his own very personal experiences.

Fighters use hypnosis for clarity of thought

Joe Rogan also mentioned that his friends who were fighters used to go for guided hypnotism to achieve clarity of thoughts. It can help fighters get over self-doubt and focus on the real troubles they are facing. Hypnotism heightens concentration and focus. It involves participants being in an altered state of mind or trance. Such practices, if done with a proper understanding of trained supervisors can certainly help people get a better understanding of themselves.
