Khabib Nurmagomedov recalls one of his greatest fights in the UFC. The Dagestan native says he would have killed his opponent inside the octagon if the referee didn’t stop him.

Nurmagomedov clashed against the former two-division champion Conor McGregor at UFC 229. The Dagestan native secured an impressive win against the Irishman.

During a recent talk session at Daniel Cormier’s new academy, ‘The Eagle’ opened up about his moments before the fight. Nurmagomedov said, “I was very happy, you know, and I was thinking like okay finally I’m gonna grab this guy. I’m gonna catch this guy. You know like a very hungry eagle you hold him when and you let him hunt you know and he fly and you watch like okay.”

“Where this mouse you know. And you go catch him, you know the same thing I was very happy because he talks a lot of trash and for me, it was like very important to catch this guy.”

He added, “When I make weight the next day, I wanna be there like all night but my opponent he don’t want this. When I come to the cage, I look at him he doesn’t wanna watch my eyes. But when I come too close like I look at his eyes like okay, he doesn’t wanna watch my eyes.”
