UFC’s infamous BMF belt is back from the dead and different people have different opinions about it. Ever since the belt’s return was announced last week, fighters across the UFC roaster have voiced their thoughts. The latest of these opinions comes from UFC lightweight, Beneil Dariush. In his interview with ‘MMA Junkie’, the Iranian-American fighter expressed his thoughts on the upcoming bout between “friendJustin Gaethje and Dustin Poirier for the BMF strap.

According to the grappling sensation, he is not interested in the BMF, nor does he see himself fighting for that belt one day. But he does not have a problem with it, as it brings eyes to the sports and boosts the earning potential of the fighter.

“It’s a belt, Uh. Some people like it, some people don’t. But I was never really that interested in belts, anyway. I just like beating people and I want to beat the best people.”

Apart from this statement, the former World No Gi Champion also shared his prediction for the upcoming UFC 291 bout. He chose Justin Gaethje, though admitted his bias towards the former WSOF lightweight champion. It will be interesting to see if his prediction comes true.

In his recent interview with The Schmo, Drew Dober predicted Beneil Dariush to win against former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira. According to the American, his former rival is the number one contender in the division and should be fighting Islam Makhachev for the title next. In fact, Makhachev has also shown interest in facing Dariush.
