During his brief time in China, Adesanya recalled how he once shared a hotel room with his opponent. However, he did not know that his roommate is going to be his opponent, until the last moment. Stylebender also revealed that he ended up knocking him out in the first round.
“One time, I fought this big Chinese dude. I’m in the same hotel room. I didn’t find out. I’m with this guy in the same hotel room chilling and I didn’t find (out) I was fighting him until it was weigh in time,” said Adesanya.
Adesanya also spoke about the unsanitary conditions at one of the events where their locker room was situated right next to a bathroom with a clogged urinal that emitted a strong smell of urine. ‘Stylebender’ highlighted that these shady promotions consistently used underhanded tactics to dictate proceedings.
Chinese MMA promotions doing “dirty sh*t”?

In a shocking revelation, Stylebender also spoke about the promotions in China doing ” some dirty sh*t”. This included taking the fighters on an extensive tour of the city the day before weigh-ins. They purposely did this to wear the fighters out and tire them before their fights.
“Bro the promotions have done some dirty sh*t. Like (for) example, we get there and then they take us on a tour of the city in the hot sun. Walking around showing us artifacts and monuments and whatnot. At one point I was just like this is stupid I’m about to weigh in tomorrow. I said I’m going back to the hotel they’re like oh no you can’t go back. I was like I know what you’re doing yeah so, you trying to wear me out,” Adesanya added.
