Bernthal said, “But I was still really a a pretty big fu*k up Joe. and I and and um I was hitting brick wall, after brick wall in in my life.

“I was kind of a sh*t bag back … I wasn’t a good boyfriend … I was still … having having episodes of of violence on the on the street, of still getting into street fights. Still getting into trouble. Um, I was, uh, drinking way too much.” He further added.

He admitted to being an “as*hole” in real life and getting involved in street fights and excessive drinking. However, Bernthal noted that playing this type of character was like a “perfect marriage” for him. As a consequence, it allowed him to tap into his own experiences and emotions to bring the role to life.

Bernthal shares an episode of street violence with Rogan

Bernthal experienced a violent encounter with a man while walking his dog. He shares the whole encounter with the UFC commentator on his podcast. The man approached and called the dog over, roughhousing with it before refusing to let it go back to Bernthal. The situation escalated when Bernthal tried to retrieve his dog and the man pushed him, leading to a physical altercation.

He said, “You know long story fu*king long. you know, um, you don’t look like like he wasn’t waking up. and uh you know I’d they’re taking him away. I was like sitting there handcuffed to the side.

The man was knocked unconscious and fell to the ground, hitting his head on the pavement. The man’s friends then jumped on Bernthal, who tried to defend himself. Eventually, the police arrived, and the man was taken away while they handcuffed Bernthal. The man was unconscious, and it is unclear what happened to him after the altercation.
