Dan Hooker vs. Bobby Green seems like a dream that may never come true now. The December Fight Night bout was supposed to go down as expected until things went sideways for Hooker. And unfortunately for him, this makes it impossible for him to fight.

Hooker is a brilliant mixed-martial artist and in this line of work, injuries are commonplace. However, to sustain such an injury for a prolonged period must be hard. ‘Hangman’ took to his Instagram very recently to share an update regarding his healing arm and it’s not looking great. Here’s how fans reacted.

Hooker injured his arm during his July bout against Jalin Turner. His orbital bone was all messed up and his wrist was fractured. A five-month break later, he is not quite out of the dark yet. He acknowledged that he took the chance by taking this fight and now, there’s nothing he can do. “Rolled the dice, came up snake eyes.” He wrote in his post. Here are some of the best reactions.

“Sorry to see! Damn”

“Damm how did it break with the plate there “

“F*ck I was hella excited for the Austin card”

“Just a scratch”

“You’ll be back again soon baby don’t worry”

“Tough times don’t last Dan hooker does”

“CONOR GOTTA STEEL SHIN, YOU GOTTA STEEL HAMMER”

How long do you think it’ll take Hooker to heal now? Things have not looked bright for him ever since he got himself injured after his last fight in July. He was meant to be on the card for UFC 290 but to no avail. Now, with this cancellation, when can fans expect him back?

When can Hooker return?

The answer to the question is as uncertain as it gets. Hooker has been out for months. That could have been plenty of time for him to heal. After his fight against Turner, he had taken on to his X handle to show everyone a plastered hand.

He also showed an X-ray report of his orbital bone which had a very visible crack in it. For Hooker, these were just a “scratch”. But these scratches have kept him out of business. Perhaps it would only be possible for him to come back into the Octagon next year. A longer rest could perhaps help. What do you think of his potential return date?
