Ronda Rousey is one of the most iconic and important figures in female-sports history. Her list of achievements is so mighty that no one can deny her role as a pioneer in many genres. A few of her accolades include becoming the first-ever American woman to win a medal at the Olympics in the sport of Judo.
Although she has made her name in WWE and UFC, prior to this, she earned the Strikeforce women’s bantamweight belt. Later she captured the UFC’s female bantamweight champion as well.
Her journey from one of the first female fighters in UFC to being the first female to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame is truly remarkable. She also held the record for the most title defenses, with six defenses to her name.
