UFC’s fan-favorite commentator, Joe Rogan, is always exposing himself along with his experiences. Fans have always been there to listen to Rogan’s adventures by joining in on his podcast, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’. The 55-year-old is intrigued by how humans think differently. Due to this curiosity of his, he keeps on calling various guests on his podcast. Episode number 1931 of the podcast was not any different from his other episodes. The podcaster made sure to keep everybody hooked and entertained till the very end. In the middle of his conversations, Rogan slipped a childhood topic and mentioned how he was a very undisciplined kid.

According to the commentator, he was a disrespectful kid. The exact kind of child that nobody would like to be around. However, his choice of attending martial arts changed his life for good. He implies that this life course turned him into a better person. Not just Rogan, but several people have claimed the same thing.
A younger Joe Rogan had to adapt himself to the martial arts culture
The podcast host used to be the impolite kid that everybody despised. Eventually, the path he took shaped him forever. Rogan seems grateful for choosing martial arts. “I was a pretty disrespectful kid. But when I was in martial arts, everything was ‘yes sir’, ‘no sir’,” said Rogan about his state of mind upon joining the classes anew. From his previous personality, this much disciplined and obedient life was going to be a huge shift.
Often, people who are not used to a strict culture face problems adjusting to it. The same must have been the case with Rogan. The 55-year-old would not be as successful in his life if it wasn’t for the discipline that he gained from his martial arts practice.

As a young teenager, if somebody joins martial arts, Rogan will be able to relate to them. “Your instructor has this power over you,” said the American comedian, while talking about the huge shift in power that an individual has to accept in order to learn something new. Remembering his own master, Rogan went ahead to confess, “they’re not just a mentor, they literally are a master.”
