Bo Nickal wants to fight Khamzat Chimaev. Barely two fights into his UFC career, the promising young talent, known for his quick finishes and exceptional wrestling skills, has revealed the ideal conditions under which he would like a fight with the Chechen to take place.

Nickal has won all five of his professional MMA fights in the first round and is undefeated as of now. He won his latest UFC fight at UFC 290 against Valentine Woodburn in under the first minute of the first round. All of this has forced fans to take notice of the fighter.

Despite his two fights in the UFC, the hype train for Nickal has already left the station owing to his stellar performances in the octagon. On being asked by journalist Ariel Helwani his thoughts on fighting Chimaev, he admitted to wanting that fight but would like it to happen in a sold-out stadium.

“Everybody wants to see me fight Khamzat, and I want to fight Khamzat, but I think that I think that we need to build more. He hasn’t fought in a long time.” he said on Helwani’s ‘The MMA Hour’ show. “My goal with Khamzat has always been Allegiant Stadium sold-out for the belt and blow the roof off that place when I smash that guy.”

Nickal is clearly confident in his abilities and believes he could beat Chimaev, but he thinks that there should be a little more build-up before the fight happens. “It’s going to take a little more to build my reputation and get to where I want to be, and you know, for him to get to where he needs to be,” he said.

Nickal envisions fighting Chimaev for the middleweight title

The American feels that, ideally, the fight between him and Chimaev should be for the middleweight title. “Well, if it’s for the belt, then that could be the biggest fight, but as of now neither of us is the champ or even, like fighting for the belt, so, um, you know, I think that’s a fight that should be for the title.” Nickal told Helwani.

Of course, a matchup with Chimaev is pure speculation right now, and many fans would like to see Chimaev fight Kamaru Usman first after the latter called him out again and challenged him to cut weight and fight him, to which Chimaev responded on his Instagram, inviting Usman to move up to 185 lbs.
