Kamaru Usman is currently one of the best fighters in combat sports. Having beaten almost every opponent that’s been put in front of him, Usman has proved himself to be one of the most dominant fighters in the octagon.
The Nigerian is ranked first in the UFC men’s pound for pound rankings, as of November 2021. Usman is definitely one of the all-time great. No one in the UFC has fazed the champion, and he has established himself as the best in his division.
Earlier this weekend, Kamaru Usman retained his championship belt in a rematch against his biggest rival, Colby Covington. The first time the two fought, it was an extremely competitive match. Covington has been the only fighter who has actually given the ‘Nigerian Nightmare’ a challenge in the octagon.

Even though the UFC’s number one pound for pound fighter showed his interest in fighting Canelo Alvarez, it is very unlikely that this will ever happen. In an interview with TMZ Sports, the boxing legend was asked if he would be interested in fighting Kamaru Usman in a boxing match. Alvarez didn’t seem very interested in it.
The undisputed boxing sensation said,” It’s not make sense for me… I want to make history in boxing right, I don’t see anything right there.”
