The former UFC light heavyweight champion Jiří Procházka is gearing up to reclaim his title, and he’s even got a date in mind. The Czech fighter had to vacate his title following the injury, which startled the UFC president Dana White, who called it the ‘worst shoulder injury’ he had ever seen. The belt went to Jamahal Hill after he defeated Glover Teixeira. However, Procházka and Hill had their back-and-forth in regard to a potential matchup.

Fast forward to today, and Procházka is itching to get back in the octagon. He has been out of action for quite some time now, but the Czech fighter is ready to reclaim what was once his: the championship belt. Procházka has even revealed that he has a specific period in mind for his comeback.

Jiří Procházka has a month in mind for his next fight

In a recent interview with LowKick MMA, Jiří Procházka spoke about his recovery and his current state in terms of being able to fight. When asked about his return, the former UFC light heavyweight champion said, “I wanted to be back in six months after like, this surgery… The should is not so easy to rehab. Because there is many angles to many things to work on.”

Procházka went on to add, “I think it will be not in six months, because, I just don’t want to be just healthy and fight. I want to be on the next level. And right now, I need something like, one or two months to be in full power for training.”

When discussing the particular month of his comeback, the Czech fighter said, “July, August, September. September, something like that… I think I need- for finish to rehabs and making for great preparation, four more months I think, yeah.”

Later in the video, Procházka revealed that his next fight will be a title fight. It appears that all the banter that went on between him and Jamahal Hill may finally materialize into something.
