Jon Jones‘ stature in the realm of the UFC doesn’t need any introduction, as he has proven himself as the ultimate benchmark for various MMA stars. The #5 UFC heavyweight, Tom Aspinall, has been in the limelight since he bluntly uttered the name of ‘Bones’. ‘MMA Junkie’s Instagram account highlighted a handful of his comments that were featured in a video. The post showcased Aspinall’s aspirational statements while he was in a press conference.

A question that was asked to start the discussion was, “Do you see Jon Jones sticking around for much after that fight (versus Miocic)?” In response, Aspinall put his vision upfront as he said, ” I hope so. That’s my dream fight. My goal in the future is not only to win, but I want to excite Jon Jones. I want him to watch me in the next few fights and think I need to stick around for this guy.”

It is obvious from the post that Aspinall has Jon Jones’ heavyweight title in focus for the future. Additionally, he hopes Jon Jones will watch a few of his upcoming fights to get a taste of his shenanigans. He believes he is the top contender to dethrone Jones and win the world heavyweight title. All he is fervently seeking is a confrontation with Jones.
