The 55-year-old UFC commentator Joe Rogan is famous for his unbiased opinions. In his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan chooses to talk about anything and everything under the sun. One of the factors that makes the show peculiar is the podcaster’s readiness to share his experiences and significant moments of his personal life. Through the show, the fans learn more about Rogan. The former Fear Factor host has always made sure that he involved guests from all walks of life and not just from the MMA world.
This is one of the factors that makes the show all the more exciting for its fans. However, most of the time, it is Rogan’s life experiences that engage audiences the most. In a recent episode of JRE, Rogan talked about his experience with the Vietnam War, followed by the horrific Iraq War, and how it shaped his outlook on war.
Joe Rogan’s horrific experience with Vietnam and Iraq war

Joe Rogan was talking in the 1977 episode of JRE with stand-up comedian Dave Smith. The episode was three hours and twenty minutes long, and while talking about many topics, Rogan chose to share his experiences with the Vietnam War and the Iraq War. Rogan said, “I remember being a child when the war in Vietnam ended. I think I was like ten years old or something like that. Thinking ‘It’s great, now there is no war anymore’. I really thought that man.”
Later Rogan went on to talk about the Iraq war. “I remember that and I remember being blown away. Me and my friend Jimmy was watching the Iraq war. It was like whatever year that was… ninety-one. That makes sense. I was living with my friend, Jimmy. We came back from work and we were watching TV… I was like, ‘What do you know, it’s f*cking war and it’s real. This is crazy, I thought we figured this out. I thought we were not gonna do this anymore.’” The Iraq war made Rogan realize that wars are an inevitable phenomenon of human nature and will humanity is bound to repeat the occurrence.
Wars invoke pain and torment for many and that is the case for the popular comedian as well.

The UFC commentator gets terrified by wars
Joe Rogan was a child when the Vietnam War took place. The war began in November 1955 and went on until the fall of Saigon in April 1975. In JRE, Rogan says he was around ten when the war ended and was relieved when the war ended. However, followed by the Vietnam War, some years later, the Gulf War took place. Rogan was a working man at the time.

The Gulf War lasted from 1990 to 1991. In reaction to Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait, a military coalition of 39 nations launched an armed operation.
