Nate Diaz recently made headlines for getting involved in a street fight in New Orleans. A video of Diaz attacking a guy on the street went viral throughout the internet. Diaz came to New Orleans to attend his teammate Chris Avila‘s match at Misfits Boxing 6. The fans were surprised to see the uncanny similarity between the guy who was getting beaten up and WWE star, Logan Paul. Diaz choked out the Logan Paul lookalike until he fell unconscious on the ground.
Later, fans learned that the guy was a TikTok star named Rodney Peterson. Diaz is someone who is notorious for his carefree attitude and for easily getting into brawls; hence, it is nothing new for the MMA community. However, this time things went a little out of hand and Diaz might face arrest.
The fans criticized Diaz for being 38 and getting into street fights. The UFC middleweight fighter, Paulo Costa, also reacted to the matter. Nonetheless, he seemed hardly surprised, as he felt that it’s something that happens often. Costa had a different outlook on the fight.

Paulo Costa shares his thoughts on the street fight
Costa was having a conversation with The MMA Hour’s Ariel Helwani. They talked about a lot of subjects related to the MMA world. When Helwani asked if he too wanted to be a free agent like Diaz and fight on the streets, Costa laughed and then said, “I don’t know what happened there… I think somebody deserves. I just love the knee… yeah, he chokes him.“
After listening to Costa, Helwani added, “It was like uh Jon Jones versus Machida, he just dropped him like that standing Guillotine, no problem.” To which ‘Borrachinha’ replied, “Yeah, the only difference, he dropped him on the street… not so soft, not so soft.” Here Costa looked at the brawl in a casual way and was appreciating the moves of Diaz.
Another fight on the same night
Diaz is known for getting into brawls then and now. Hence, it won’t be surprising for fans to learn that he got into another fight on the same night. The video of the fight grabbed the eyeballs of the netizens.
After getting provoked, Diaz rose from his seat while he was watching the match. He then threw a water bottle at TV star Chase DeMoor, who was sitting behind him.
