On Saturday evening, Paddy Pimblett delivered one of the most outstanding performances of his MMA career. On paper, his opponent King Green appeared to be the favorite and was probably the toughest challenge for the 29-year-old. However, the veteran was put to sleep with a triangle-armbar combination in the first round itself.
Surprisingly, Green, who is known to fight on his feet, went for a takedown which surprised Pimblett. What followed was a submission masterclass forcing the #15 ranked fighter to tap. Green was indeed disappointed with the loss and admitted that he had a “bad night”.
