The former bantamweight champion doesn’t seem to be satisfied with his move to fight Sean O’Malley so soon. This is because the pay-per-views weren’t as high as he hoped it would have been in comparison to his previous fights. Sterling said, “Context: In hindsight, I should’ve waited. Reality: I didn’t wait. Numbers weren’t the highest PPV I been on as a Champ.”

However, it was not the worst UFC event that Aljamain Sterling has fought in. But he regrets his decision to have rushed into a fight with Sean O’Malley because the PPV pay did not live up to his expectations. “Reality: Not my worse PPV pay, but the rush was NOT worth the squeeze in the end,” ‘Funk Master’ added. While expressing his doubt over O’Malley’s star power, the former champion also mentioned ‘Suga’ can increase his star power now that he’s a champion. Let’s see what he had to say.
“Just facts” from the ‘Funk Master’
Aljamain Sterling gave a bold suggestion to Sean O’Malley and how he can raise his stocks as a PPV draw. He claimed that ‘Suga’ will have to put on some incredible performances similar to UFC 292 if he wants to become a top dog in the UFC. Sterling further added, “O’Malley PPV draw power can rise IF he can keep winning- but impressively, like anyone else.”
