Jorge Masvidal is known to be a fighter who wears his heart on his sleeve. He doesn’t mince his words and says things as they are. So, when you combine that with an app like Twitter, you get some entertaining tweets.
Ben Askren is of a similar mold. He is one of the funniest guys out there. However, his UFC fighting career didn’t pan out as well as it could have. Masvidal made sure of that. They have engaged in multiple Twitter fights after that, and today was one such instance of a mini brawl.

Masvidal uploaded a tweet saying, “Just like when you told the whole world I was afraid to fight you and I went on to retire your a** in 5 seconds stfu. Now I’m going to fight the world champion, so stfu x2.”
He was replying to Askren’s tweet where ‘Funky’ hit two birds with one stone. “It makes a lot of sense that Jorge Masvidal and Jake Paul are friends, both have the emotional maturity of a 12-year-old. If you say something they don’t like, one pouts and stomps, the other tries to fight you,” Askren said.
He also uploaded two more tweets about Masvidal calling him “fake Street Jesus” and an actor who was scared to fight welterweight Colby Covington.
Jorge Masvidal vs. Ben Askren: The shortest fight in UFC history
This fight will forever be cemented in UFC history, probably because the fight itself lasted lesser than the time it took Bruce Buffer to announce the fighter’s names. There was a lot of trash talk going into the bout, and there was a lot of animosity between both the fighters.

However, what happened next shocked everyone as Ben Askren went for a takedown, and Masvidal just jumped and hit him with a flying knee. ‘Funky’ Askren was knocked out, and ‘Gamebred‘ hit him with two bombs before the referee could step in.
The fight was over after 5 seconds, and it derailed Askren’s career. He lost another fight and retired shortly after, putting a sad end to a glorious career.
