The UFC commentator Joe Rogan is someone who values friendship a lot. When the 55-year-old sits with his guests in his podcast, JRE, Rogan often gets carried away talking about his close friends. One such friend that Rogan often remembers is the renowned chef Anthony Bourdain. Bourdain and Rogan shared a great bond together, and his dear friend’s demise left a void in Rogan’s heart. Bourdain, who popularized the foodie culture in the early 21st century, passed away on July 8, 2018, by suicide.

The former Fear Factor host has himself admitted that Bourdain’s passing had put him in a pathetic condition. It took Rogan a lot of time to come to terms with his beloved friend’s passing. However, it’s hard for the UFC commentator to forget him as he terribly misses him with each passing day. Rogan’s latest Instagram post proves the same, as he admits that he still misses his dear friend.

Joe Rogan recently took to his Instagram handle to share some inspiring words from Bourdain, which said about the importance of living life to the fullest. The message from the writer ended by saying, “Be open to a world where you may not understand or agree with the person next to you, but have a drink with them anyways. Eat slowly. Tip your server. Check in on your friends. Check in on yourself. Enjoy the ride.”

Rogan, who used to take great inspiration from the philosophies of the celebrity chef, wrote under the post. “I really miss that man.” Even after five years after his friend’s passing, Rogan wanted to share his great words of wisdom with the world.

The biggest regret of the UFC commentator

On several occasions, Rogan has talked about Bourdain with a heavy heart. In the #1892 episode of JRE, the UFC commentator shared one of the biggest regrets of his life, and it was related to his beloved friend. Rogan and Bourdain sat together in JRE once, and back then; the podcaster forgot to refill his friend’s beer glass. Even though Bourdain asked for it, Rogan was high and didn’t take notice of what Bourdain wanted.

During the episode, Rogan said, “Like, I shoulda got a beer, but I was in the middle of talking…” After the demise of Bourdain, the UFC commentator regretted this incident, as he felt highly apologetic for not paying attention to Bourdain’s needs. Whenever Rogan thinks about Bourdain, this regret haunts him and makes him gloomy. The UFC commentator believes that he should have treated his late friend in a better way when they both sat together in JRE.
