UFC megastar Conor McGregor’s controversial end to 2024 continues to cast a shadow over his legacy. Nevertheless, as we step into 2025, the Irishman is leaving no stone unturned in his mission to rebuild his image. According to reports, ‘The Notorious’ may even consider leaving his homeland for a fresh start. Yesterday’s speculation at Capitol Hill, where Donald Trump became the 47th President of the United States, fueled this idea.

Notably, the grand inauguration resembled a star-studded gala, attracting notable attendees such as UFC CEO Dana White, commentator and podcaster Joe Rogan, and a host of other high-profile figures. Amid this glittering event, it was UFC featherweight contender Bryce Mitchell who managed to steal the spotlight. Renowned for his patriotic fervor, Mitchell took to Instagram to share a series of photos featuring Conor McGregor and Jon Jones. In his post, Mitchell described the day as a “lifetime celebration,” writing:

“God really hooked me up with the VIP experience. I prayed with @thenotoriousmma and @jonnybones, said hey to my buddy @patrickbetdavid, made buddies with @miketyson and @vincevaughn04, and also said hey to @jimmylevy!! What a thrill it was.”

Meanwhile, Conor McGregor, often a magnet for controversy, faced a tumultuous 2024. For instance, the Dublin High Court held him liable in a civil suit brought by Nikita Hand, a 35-year-old woman who accused him of assault in a Dublin hotel in 2018. As a result, the fallout was severe—business associates distanced themselves from the star, while relentless media scrutiny took a toll on his family life.

However, ‘The Notorious’ now appears to have found solace in faith, signaling a renewed determination to turn his life around. His presence at the Capitol, coupled with his interactions with other high-profile figures, suggests this event could mark the beginning of a fresh chapter for the former champion.
