The chapter between Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira seems to have taken a back burner after UFC 287. The pair seems to be on a separate path, as there are rumors that Pereira might fight at 205 pounds. As for Adesanya, he is on a path to establishing himself to be the ‘GOAT’ of middleweight division with a second title reign.

However, the next opponent for ‘Stylebender’ is to be decided amongst the middleweights. Sean Strickland has made his views clear about who should fight Adesanya next for the title.

Sean Strickland names his pick-to-fight Israel Adesanya next

The controversial UFC middleweight picked Robert Whittaker as the next opponent for Israel Adesanya. The UFC middleweight gave his honest thoughts in an interview with The Schmo.

Sean Strickland said, “Oh man! I wanna say Whittaker. I know they fought what twice. I mean, its one of those, If I had to be like if I had to be honest like who f*cking deserves it, Whittaker just beat Marvin.” Strickland justified his decision by mentioning that Whittaker got a win over Marvin Vettori to make his case.

Furthermore, Strickland added, “He, I mean he’s only lost to Izzy, I personally think it should be him and not Dricus I understand what Izzy did. Izzy said, ‘I’m the real African’ like ‘I’m gonna drag his carcass to the floor’, which is borderline racist Izzy. He was talking about Dricus…”
