UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya has often faced harsh remarks from the public for wearing fake nails. Adesanya has proven several times that he is not someone who bends the knee in front of people who question his “masculinity.” He has made bold fashion choices that feel less manly to the public. The UFC star often goes for fake nails and paints his nails. Before facing Robert Whittaker for a rematch at UFC 271, Adesanya made headlines for preparing himself for the fight by wearing nail polish.
In the UFC 271 Embedded Episode, ‘The Last Stylebender’ made it clear why he painted his nails. Adesanya said that his hands are going to touch someone’s face or mouth, so he doesn’t want to be rude. Moreover, he thought it looked fashionable. At the moment, the UFC star has rebuked a fan who questioned his masculinity for wearing fake nails. Adesanya’s reaction is similar to that of the UFC superstar, Conor McGregor.
