 Joe Rogan and Joey Diaz share one of the strongest bonds. Their friendship often makes fans curious about when it all began. In a recent interview with Flagrant, Diaz detailed meeting Rogan. He said, “At the store. I was in Boise Idaho doing the Funny Bone. it was a thing called the 12 what was that movie they did… the 12 Dirty Dozen. Dom Irrera and Joe was on that. That’s the first time I ever saw Joe with a backwards hat on.

He added, “I never even know who he was. Didn’t pay attention ever again. It was just somebody. I watched it for Dom Irrera and maybe somebody else. I was high in LA already. No was not I was living in Seattle at the time and then when I got to The Comedy Store maybe a month after I got to The Comedy Store… 97.” After listening to the solo comedian. It was clear that they both have gradually developed a great bond.

Diaz believed that JRE won’t work

In the same interview, Diaz reminisced about the early days of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’. He expressed his surprise, mentioning that he never anticipated the podcast would attract an audience. The comedian recalled the initial days of JRE when Rogan wanted to stream the podcast on Friday night. This made Diaz completely hopeless.

He strongly believed that no one would watch the show on Friday night. He even went so far as to say that only 13-year-old kids would be at home at that time. However, the podcast turned greatly in favor of Rogan as it became a massive success. Rogan’s show eventually secured a streaming deal with Spotify.
