Joe Rogan, the podcaster and an integral part of the UFC commentary team, recently made a statement that was quite peculiar. As per the 56-year-old, he is ready to say goodbye to the UFC for his podcast if a particular situation ever comes to be.

Rogan has already made it clear that he would not travel outside the US for UFC events and now this statement raises an important question – are we nearing the end of the Joe Rogan era of the UFC?

Joe Rogan never travels outside the United States for UFC events anymore due to a conflict in scheduling. This is the reason why we don’t see Rogan at international events. The podcaster rather likes to enjoy watching the fight with his friends and broadcasting it live on the ‘Fight Companion’ episodes of his Spotify podcast.

The 56-year-old recently invited Eddie Bravo, Joey Diaz & Brendan Schaub to join him in his studio to watch the UFC 297 event on Fight Companion. During the conversation, Rogan stated that he would not give up a Fight Companion session, even for the UFC.

“I love working for the UFC, but I love this more. If they came to me and they said, “No more fight companion,” it’s one or the other, I’m like, “Hey, it’s been a great time, guys. It’s been wonderful. I love you. I love going to fights. I will buy tickets,” said Rogan.

Will he leave the UFC for this podcast? Well, the question is rather unsettling but the happening of this event is far-fetched. Interestingly, this is not the first time when Rogan left the UFC alone to give importance to his other commitments. The podcaster was not there to give commentary on UFC 271, among other events, due to a conflict in schedule.

The time when Rogan denied a UFC event

UFC podcaster, Joe Rogan was initially set to be ringside for commentary at UFC 271. However, it was announced shortly before the event that Michael Bisping would be replacing him, citing a scheduling conflict as the reason for Rogan’s absence. Rogan’s close aide, Brenden Schaub, claimed that conflict of scheduling is not the only reason for Rogan’s absence.

“Do I know exactly what happened? Sure do. Is it my story to tell? Nope. But when it comes out, you’re gonna love Joe Rogan even more for missing that one, I’ll say that… But you’ll also love Dana White even more.” said Schaub on his podcast. The former heavyweight fighter never explained the reasons, but speculations raised were that it was because of Rogan’s controversial podcast episodes.

Interestingly, Rogan even missed UFC 265 and UFC 266 for a conflict of scheduling. He missed UFC 265 for a comedy tour and UFC 266 for hunting. Nonetheless, what’s your opinion on Joe Rogan’s opinion about missing the UFC for his podcast?
