UFC lightweights Rafael dos Anjos and Islam Makhachev continue to trade verbal barbs on social media in a seemingly endless saga. Both men were scheduled to face each other on multiple occasions but the fight kept falling through. Following Makhachev’s dominant win over Thiago Moises at UFC Vegas 31 last week, their rivalry came to a head once more.

Islam Makhachev’s recent performance was one-way traffic as Moises didn’t have much to offer in terms of resistance. While his win impressed most, ‘RDA’ wasn’t particularly impressed and both men have been at it ever since. However, it seems like Dos Anjos isn’t buying the fact that Islam Makhachev is writing his own tweet per their most recent exchange.

Several fighters have accused Islam Makhachev’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz of being the mouthpiece of his fighters on social media. This stems from the fact that Abdelaziz is extremely vocal while Islam Makhachev hasn’t portrayed that side of himself. Given Rafael dos Anjos’s recent statement, it seems like the banter between both men may have come to an end.
