When discussing Jones picking up win after win over noteworthy opponents, White pointed out Jones’ technical superiority that gave him the edge, time and again. “That’s why I wanted to train and spar against him, more than anybody. Because I was like that guy is another level. My whole thing is I wanna spar with people who are better than me, right? So, I get better. But I know from day one, I’m like nobody… He’s got all the components and now in Heavyweight – I don’t see anybody… I think it’s going to be easier for him in every way.” said White, clearing up why Jones was his obvious pick.

The interviewer, aware of White and Jones’ sparring session, asked him, “Is that more of his natural weight?” assuming White would be able to give him possible insights about the much-obsessed weight of the fighter. ” Yes, it is. I mean he walks around at 230, 235“, replied White. The two then go on to discuss the towering height (6’4) that gives Jones a striking advantage.

Talking about the gifted structure that Jones has, White said, “And that’s his skeleton. I mean that’s his natural skeleton. It’s a heavyweight skeleton.”, providing his opinion on why moving up to Heavyweight was a piece of cake for Jon Jones.
