Has Conor McGregor finally overcome his USADA hurdle? The Irishman has been on a two-year layoff since he last fought Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. UFC President Dana White gave the fans a glimmer of hope when he announced him as the coach of The Ultimate Fighter S31. However, his beefed-up physique and his troubles with USADA diminished those hopes. But it appears the comeback of ‘The Notorious’ is inching closer, as he recently left an update for his opponent in waiting, Michael Chandler.
Ever since the 35-year-old fighter missed the USADA timeline to register himself in time to headline the UFC’s last PPV, the fans have grown impatient. Chandler also became restless, and the Dubliner’s flirtations with other fighters didn’t help his cause either. Therefore, ‘Iron’ ceaselessly targeted the former UFC champion for his tussle with USADA. McGregor has finally responded to his calls in his own way.

‘Mystic Mac’ turned to his X handle and replied to Chandler’s post as the latter sought an exclusive USADA sample from him. The former Bellator champion had written down, “You spelled USADA wrong @TheNotoriousMMA …when are you going to exclusively give a sample so we can finish what we started?”

In response, McGregor resorted to his tweet-and-delete shenanigans and dropped a scathing reply. He announced, “Morning Mike 👋 I just took a humongous p*ss right there, just for you. Bout to have a coffee now, have a good day”.
While some fans might take it as a usual jibe by the Irish fighter, his comment holds a different significance. His recently deleted post aligns with what the UFC lynchpin had to say recently. Notably, White laid the fans’ worries to rest as he issued an update on McGregor’s comeback and even his opponent.

In a recent post-fight interview, the 53-year-old revealed he had a conversation with McGregor and both talked about the latter’s return. He said, “I talked to Conor—it was either yesterday or the day before. And, yeah, he’s ready to fight.” But who is he fighting next?
White continued and disclosed, “He is fighting [Michael] Chandler”. This statement will also reassure the fans and the American fighter, as McGregor recently teased a fight with Jake Paul. Similarly, Charles Oliveira has issued an open challenge for McGregor, but it appears the UFC top brass has decided to go with their original plan.
