Can Belal Muhammad defend the high kicks from Leon Edwards this time around? Leon Edwards is known for his kickboxing background and his third title defense is on Saturday in Manchester against Muhammad. Edwards is one of the most levelheaded fighters who keeps his calm inside the cage and can pull a losing fight back in the final minute of the final round. He thrives as a fighter in both long and close range. However, Muhammad is also training with Khabib Nurmagomedov and also practicing a new Mexican style of boxing. This might give him an edge over his opponent.

Leon Edwards has given massive head-kicks in the past as well. His KO of Kamaru Usman has become etched in the history of UFC knockouts. The Birmingham-based Southpaw’s talks before the match added up perfectly for the head kick making him into a champion. He even narrated the story of the chilling KO to Michael Bisping once.

Meanwhile, before the recent match is about to take place, the fans are going back to the past and seeing all the head-kick defenses that Muhammad had shown in the past. Fans show concern for Belal Muhammad against Leon Edwards’ head kick

The video showed some compilations of Belal Muhammad, defending himself against some massive head kicks from his opponents. However, the defence did not seem too strong and the kicks were landing directly at the back of his neck which is one of the sweet spots and can even knock a person out. This concerned the fans and they commented on the same.

The sarcastic caption to the post read, “Belal Muhammad’s head kick defense is top tier.” One UFC fan commented on how ‘Remember the Name’ is training with Khabib and this time he might come with new moves. They said, “ I hope Khabib saw this mistake because Edwards’ high kick stops careers.” Another fan jokingly commented, “He defends well with his head.”

Belal Muhammad has a striking defense of  57% and absorbs 3.64 strikes per minute. He has an outstanding takedown defense of 93% so Edwards has to be careful. Another fan sarcastically commented on the defense and said, “You can’t teach that. Pure natural ability right there.” However, in Edward’s defense, he does have a strong chin. He has only suffered one KO loss in his career with 5 KO/TKO wins. So, the ethnic Palestinian has a strong chin.

One UFC buff said, “I only hope Leon TK’s defense is on point and that he sets it up with hella low and body kicks.” The compilation had a few seconds showing Edwards landing a picture-perfect head kick that rocked Muhammad. But ‘Bully B’ ate it like a champion and kept it coming. Edwards will need more of the same to put his opponent away this Saturday.

One fan is confident that Leon Edwards will land the head kick and defeat Muhammad. They said, “Belal ain’t gonna see it coming with his Canelo Hands.” Edwards is expected to come out on top of the rematch but even he admitted that Muhammad has improved since their last fight.

Muhammad has an edge in wrestling and also in the element of surprise. One fan supported the fighter and said, “Belal doesn’t need defense, he had a stone head, and probably Leon hurt his leg after lol.”  Another follower explained, “You see his defense is to take it and then go for an off-balance double leg.”
