The UFC color commentator is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Taekwondo, and Karate. Additionally, he has a 2-1 amateur kickboxing record on his resume. Despite his early retirement from competition, Rogan continues to train. The spinning back-kick is one of his fitness routines that is well known. The 55-year-old has mastered the back kick to the point where many have remarked that his kicks have the sound of a gunshot.
Famous Hollywood actor Michael Jai White and former UFC dual champion Georges St-Pierre have both attested to the force of Rogan’s kick. “Joe Rogan, I say he is number two best back men kick; I have ever seen,” Jai White said in a video uploaded by Jupiterkickboxing on Instagram.

Jai White is a mixed martial artist himself and has also starred in a variety of MMA-related films. He is, therefore, qualified to make such a statement. Further on in the same clip, GSP, who is often regarded as the G.O.A.T of MMA, also lauded Rogan’s back-kick technique.
“I have never seen a strike, a blow from a human being that hard. Man, I remember that bag when you were working in it was a freaking hole in that bag. It was like a curves in that bag with your footprint in it. I was like it is completely insane man,” GSP said.

In the video, the JRE host attempts the kick and explains it to GSP. “Notice how everything goes in a straight line. What you’re doing wrong is your knee is low and as you’re kicking, you’re going up. In going up, you lose a lot of the energy. You don’t want to go up, you want to go straight,” Rogan said.
Rogan still possesses the technique despite the outdated nature of the footage. The UFC commentator can be seen using his kicks to pummel a heavy bag in a minute-long video that he recently posted on his Instagram page. Rogan, 55, has undoubtedly shown that age is just a number.
