Former UFC lightweight champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov recently appeared at the Gorilla Fighting Championship press conference. ‘The Eagle’ revealed a piece of big news regarding his ventures outside of fighting in the process. Nurmagomedov confirmed that he is actually a UFC shareholder now.
UFC’s parent company, Endeavour became a public entity recently. Nurmagomedov maximized his business goals and bought shares of the company. “Who gave you this information?” he said when asked if he has bought shares with the UFC. “Yes, I am already there. UFC has already gone to IPO and I have some part of the shares,” he confirmed validating the news.

Naturally, he was asked if he can now lobby for things with the company. Nurmagomedov asserted saying he has had discussions with the UFC President Dana White regarding this topic.
“Yes, it is. We discussed this topic a lot with Dana White in our meetings. I see great prospects for UFC. They went to IPO and they have very great prospects,” added the undefeated Dagestani.
He was also asked if the shares were given to him by the promotion or if he bought it. “I don’t like gifts. We can say that I bought the UFC stock. This will be true,” Nurmagomedov replied clarifying his venture in detail.

It was not so long ago he bought the Gorilla Fighting Championship for $1 Million. He also owns the Eagle FC promotion. Now, he is a UFC shareholder. There is no doubt that one of the best fighters in the history of MMA is making his mark in the business world too.
This will further encourage other Russian fighters, especially up and comers. Nurmagomedov might just be able to provide them with the platform to make their way to the bigger organizations. He is making the most out of his retirement. What move the Russian takes in the near future, remains to be seen.
