Khabib Nurmagomedov recently took to Twitter to show his respect towards the UFC President Dana White. Shortly after the completion of the UFC 257 pay-per-view, the undefeated Russian posted a message thanking White on Twitter. Nurmagomedov’s former opponents Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor were part of the main event of UFC 257. Poirier knocked out McGregor to even the score with the Irishman.
There have been speculations about Nurmagomedov’s fighting future. The undefeated Dagestani announced retirement at UFC 254 after successfully defending his throne.
A rematch between ‘The Eagle’ and Conor McGregor was on the cards. But after McGregor’s defeat, that looks like a distant possibility.

It’s true Dana White has done an exceptional job with the UFC amid this global pandemic. UFC was the first sport back in action since the start of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020. They set a benchmark for other organizations by continuing their services for the fans in those torrid times.

Khabib Nurmagomedov recently met Dana White
Nurmagomedov recently met White in Abu Dhabi, as they had a meeting about the champion’s future in the organization. Many believed there will be a clear announcement if the Russian would ever fight again or not, but nothing like that happened. Nurmagomedov has made it clear that he doesn’t intend to step foot in the Octagon again. It was White who was trying to lure the champion for a return.
The champion said he will be keeping a close eye on UFC 257 to see any of the four contenders put on an impressive performance. But it looks like a possible rematch between him and Conor McGregor could very well be off the cards after the Irishman’s defeat.
