Ever since Aljamain Sterling became the UFC Bantamweight champion, he has been having some problems with UFC president Dana White. He had refused to fight Sean O’Malley initially, making claims about the ‘Dana White privilege’ and that he wasn’t deserving enough. But now, it seems White had the last say.

According to the news, the two had sorted out their problems, and that Dana White had even gifted Aljamain Sterling a brand-new green Lamborghini. Although the fans were glad to hear the news, months later, Aljamain Sterling dropped major news and brought clarity to this whole situation.

The Green Lamborghini not a Gift?

The entire world was under the impression that things had cooled down between Dana White and Aljamain Sterling and that the two were actually seeing eye-to-eye. However, Sterling still maintains that Sean O’Malley doesn’t deserve a title shot since he had to earn it in the first place.

In a recent interview with ESPN MMA, Aljamain Sterling was asked about the Green Lamborghini and if that is one of his upcoming goals. The champ’s reply to this question shocked the world.

“The green Lamborghini?“, asked Sterling, and immediately started laughing. After getting a hold of himself, the champ dropped a major truth bomb on the viewers by saying, “So, I’m gonna have to… I hate to admit this but Dana didn’t actually get me the Lambo. We’re still working on that, so… hopefully, after this fight, maybe we can make that happen.“, clarified Sterling. Sterling is due to defend his title against Sean O’Malley at UFC 292 and expects to be getting that gift from Dana White after he finishes the job on 20 August.

The initial dispute between White and Sterling came to be when Sterling refused to fight O’Malley at UFC 292 after he had secured a win over Henry Cejudo at UFC 288. The fighter was worried that he might not get enough time to recover. However, White wasn’t having any of it and reprimanded Sterling saying that he can sit it out but the interim fight would happen – without him.

Everyone knows that Sean O’Malley and Aljamain Sterling do not like each other. The two have been at loggerheads for a really long time. And now, after a lot of back and forth, the fight is finally happening.

O’Malley has pointed out a major flaw in Sterling’s game saying that it could cost him the match while Sterling has said that he would smash O’Malley and shut his mouth for good. O’Malley is a great striker but Sterling’s defensive game and his wrestling is undoubtedly one of the best in the promotion.
