“I think it could’ve been stopped three minutes before that. It could’ve stopped at the second round. That fight could’ve and should’ve been stopped at any moment. I had no problem with that stoppage.” Dana said at the conference.

Youngster Kris Moutinho did not seem happy with the referee’s decision to stop the match. But officials seemingly took the right call to stop the match before Moutinho got more hurt.

O’Malley dominated his opponent throughout the fight from start to finish. Moutinho didn’t back down and absorbed all of that hard-hitting like a sponge, he was refusing to back down and showed the crowd great resilience. Nevertheless, in the third round, referee Herb Dean stopped the fight citing medical attention for Kris who took multiple shots to the head but the kid was still on his feet and.

After the fight, Joe Rogan interviewed ‘Sugar’ inside the octagon, congratulating him on his dominant performance. O’Malley soon gave his respect to Kris saying he’s a tough competitor and no one would accept a fight on 11 days’ notice like he did.
